About the Sanford Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
PTA's mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
The 2025/2026 school year will be the third for the recently formed Sanford Middle School PTA. This group has done great work the past two school years as the Sanford Parent Group and Sanford Middle School PTA.
The Sanford Middle School (Minneapolis) PTA hopes to be able to support all students, teachers and families on our way to having a great year of middle school. Our group meets monthly, usually on the third Tuesday of the month (6 -7:30 pm) in the school's media center. All are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings and participate.
We have four committees that will help us focus our efforts: Events, Volunteers, and Fundraising. You can learn more about each committee on their page.

Sanford PTA prioritizes spending to supplement the school's classroom resources, to sponsor student activities and field trips, and to appreciate school staff.
Your donations are tax-deductible!

The Sanford PTA benefits from the guidance and leadership provided by Minnesota PTA and National PTA. These organizations gave us support on how to create a PTA that can function to benefit our school. They provide resources that educate our group's leaders and provide guidance to make sure our group is functioning completely within state and federal rules for non-profit organizations.
In order to continue these relationships our group needs to have 20 members who are registered and who have paid the annual dues of $7.25. That money is split between the state and national PTA organizations.

Help the Sanford Health Office!
Would you like to help stock the Sanford Health Office with essential supplies? The PTA has created an Amazon wish list with the items the health office team currently needs. You can order directly from the list, and the supplies will be sent to the school. In addition, donations of gently used clothes, especially pants, are much appreciated. The health office is particularly in need of leggings, sweatpants/joggers, small underwear, and socks. Thank you for helping keep the health office well-stocked!
Help the Sanford Social Workers!
The Sanford social workers are still in need of items to stock the Resource Room. The PTA has created an Amazon wish list with the items they have requested. The current major need is alarm clocks, body sprays and deodorant. You can order directly from the list, and the supplies will be sent to the school. In addition, donations of gently used clothes are much appreciated and/or gift cards to Cub Foods. To coordinate a donation, please contact Allison Bodkin at allisonfbodkin@yahoo.com.
